Our story of hope

Umeed Pak was founded with a simple belief: every survivor of acid violence deserves access to quality medical care, compassionate support, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity.

Noor Chughtai, Founder of Umeed Pak

Founded with purpose

Noor Chughtai is a Pakistani-American medical student and the founder of Umeed Pakistan. With a background in surgical and dermatologic care, she is committed to expanding access to medical treatment, reconstruction, and emotional support for survivors of acid violence across Pakistan.

Noor works with physicians and community partners to build dignified, survivor-centered pathways toward healing, resilience, and renewed hope.

Her vision for Umeed Pak grew from witnessing the devastating impact of acid violence during her medical training and research—and the profound difference that comprehensive, compassionate care can make in survivors' lives.
