Pakistan has one of the highest rates of acid attacks in the world. Survivors face not only severe physical injuries requiring dozens of surgeries, but also social stigma, economic hardship, and psychological trauma. Many lack access to the specialized medical care they desperately need.
Umeed Pak was founded to bridge this gap—to ensure that no survivor has to face their journey to recovery alone. We work with physicians, surgeons, and community partners to build dignified, survivor-centered pathways toward healing, resilience, and renewed hope.
“Umeed” means hope in Urdu. We believe that with the right medical care, emotional support, and community resources, every survivor can rebuild their life with dignity. Our goal is to make comprehensive care accessible to all survivors, regardless of their location or financial circumstances.
